During my recent stay at this guest house, I found it to be a pleasant and practical option for those exploring the stunning hills of the region. The location allows for a leisurely 15-20 minute walk to some delightful restaurants and bakeries, perfect for evenings spent sampling local cuisine. Although my visit was a brief stopover, the establishment proved to be a solid base for exploration. The room's balcony offered some lovely views, enhancing the experience of sipping coffee while watching the world go by. Joelle, the owner, was efficient and accommodating, even preparing a thoughtful pack-lunch style breakfast for my early departure. Regarding amenities, the soundproofed rooms provided a quiet retreat after a day of hiking and exploring nearby Saint Jean de Luz and Ascain. While transportation options included a bus, which runs infrequently and has an early last return, I could see the value in securing a taxi, despite the higher costs. This guest house strikes a fair balance between luxury and value. It’s a wise choice for travelers seeking a serene getaway amid natural beauty, though planning ahead for dining and transport is advisable. If you're a pet owner, the friendly atmosphere welcomes furry companions.
